Ciao! I'm Christina and I'm delighted you've made it to my site.
I'm from the UK, born and brought up in Kent, with Italian and British heritage, though have spent a third of my life living abroad, in The Netherlands, Italy, The U.A.E. and now I'm based in Texas in the US.
My favourite memory of books and how they've shaped me is remembering my stash of at least twenty novels piled up under my feet in a very hot, un-air conditioned car on our way down to the Amalfi coast in Italy for our annual summer camping holiday with family. I'm sure I had some Stephen King, Sweet Valley High and Virginia Andrews in there, as well as classics I probably should have mentioned instead! My father hated that I had my head in a book, rather than admiring the beautiful scenery of places like the Alps and landscapes on the journey down through France, Switzerland to Italy.
I've taken a step back from teaching English Language and Literature to students aged 11-18, but I miss the bookish chat and sharing of ideas we used to have in the various classrooms I've been in across the world. I love that I've found the opportunity to promote and share this wonderful pastime of reading with others!
